Flutist Itay Lantner performs regularly in solo, chamber music and orchestral concerts. He has played in some of the world’s most distinguished concert venues including Carnegie Hall, Jazz at Lincoln center, Alice Tully Hall in New York, Disney Hall in Los angeles, Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid, the Mann Auditorium in Tel Aviv and other major concert halls throughout North America, Europe and Israel.


As an avid performer of new music he is a Flutist at “20>>21”, an ensemble dedicated to performing music by emerging composers paired with their influences and to experiment with new formats for the old classical music concert experience. Itay is also a devoted chamber music player and a founding member of “Nouveau Winds”.


As an orchestral musician, Itay has worked with conductors Zubin Mehta, Peter Oundjian and Reinbert de Leeuw among others. He has appeared with orchestras in Israel and the United States including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the Israel Chamber Orchestra, The New York Chamber Soloists Orchestra and Orchestra for the Next Century. As a soloist Itay has performed with the Yale Baroque ensemble and the Thelma-Yelin Symphony Orchestra.Itay is a two-time winner of the Yale Chamber Music competition and received yearly scholarships from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation to support his studies.


Itay started his studies at the Rehovot Music Conservatory in his home town. After completing his military service in Israel, he went on to study at the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at the Tel-Aviv University under the guidance of flutist Eyal Ein-Habar. In 2008 Itay came to the United States to pursue a Master of Music from the Yale School of Music under the guidance of renowned flutist-conductor Ransom Wilson.
